Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Age above 18
  • Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor confirmed by endoscopic ultrasound fine needle biopsy, WHO Grade 1-2
  • Tumor size 2-3 cm with Ki-67 <5%, or tumor smaller than 2 cm with Ki-67 <10% showing progression, or tumor 1.5-2 cm with Ki-67 <10% in patients younger than 60 years
  • Tumor at least 2 mm away from the main pancreatic duct, or closer with a prophylactic pancreatic duct stent
  • Good general health with ECOG performance status 0-2
  • Signed written informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Pregnancy
  • Life expectancy less than 1 year
  • Severe bleeding disorders
  • Dilation of pancreatic or biliary ducts
  • Active pancreatitis
  • Metastatic disease including local lymph node involvement
  • Use of anticoagulants that cannot be stopped
  • INR greater than 1.5 or platelet count below 50,000
  • Tumor less than 1 mm from the main pancreatic duct without possibility of stent placement
  • Ongoing treatment or progression of another malignant lesion
