Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- ASA physical status classification I to III
- Adults aged over 18 and under 90 years
- Ambulatory or admitted patients undergoing general anesthesia with endotracheal tube placement
- Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 50
You will not qualify if you...
- Age under 18 years or over 90 years
- Pregnant women
- Prisoners
- Surgeries involving the pharynx, larynx, vocal cords, or trachea that may affect sore throat outcomes
- History of difficult airway
- Critically ill patients requiring intensive care
