Eligibility Criteria

You may qualify if you...

Age 18 years or older
Modified Rankin scale score of 0 or 1 for patients 80 years or older
Acute ischemic stroke within 6 hours from last known well to randomization, or negative MRI-FLAIR with infarct on MRI-DWI if more than 6 hours or unknown last known well time
Occlusion of internal carotid artery, M1 or M2 segment of middle cerebral artery confirmed by CTA, MRA, or DSA
Baseline ASPECTS score of 0 to 2 or infarct core volume of at least 100 ml
Written informed consent by the patient or their representative

You will not qualify if you...

Evidence of brain hemorrhage on CT or MRI
Signs of mass effect such as ventricular effacement, midline shift or herniation on imaging
Vessel tortuosity preventing thrombectomy device access or causing unstable access
History of bleeding disorders, severe heart, liver or kidney disease, or sepsis
Participation in another investigational drug study
Terminal illness with life expectancy less than 6 months
