Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Aged 11 to 20 years, currently enrolled in school between sixth grade of elementary and third year of high school
- Clinical diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder by a licensed professional based on DSM-5
- Experiencing social difficulties as reported by parents
- Scored 26 or higher on caregiver-reported Autism Spectrum Quotient indicating clinical impairment
- Demonstrates verbal fluency in Chinese
- Full-scale IQ greater than 70 on WAIS-IV
- Motivated to participate in the intervention
- Has a caregiver fluent in Chinese willing to act as a social coach
You will not qualify if you...
- History of major mental illness such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis
- Neurological diseases that could hinder treatment participation
- Visual impairment or hearing impairment that would prevent participation in group social activities
