Transtibial amputation accounts for 3,700 cases per year in France. Athletes can use sport blades made of carbon plate for improved energy restitution. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female
- Weigh less than 110 kg as per C-blade recommendations
- Have a unilateral transtibial amputation
- Have been running with a sports blade for at least 3 months in sessions of at least 3 kilometers
- Have signed a written consent form
- Are affiliated with or entitled to a social security scheme
You will not qualify if you...
- Amputation due to complications from diabetes or atherosclerosis
- Chronic or central neurological diseases
- Cardiovascular disorders
- Alcohol or drug dependency
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Individuals under court protection
