Feeding difficulties are frequent in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The main goal of this project was to develop TEAlimento, a behavioral program for children ages 3-8 with ASD and feeding difficulties. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Children aged between 3 and 8 years old
- Confirmed diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder by ADOS-2 cut-off score
- Presence of significant feeding difficulties such as food rejection, disruptive meal behavior, strong selectivity, and family stress caused by feeding
- Acquired oral-motor abilities to chew food
- Eats at least three foods and no more than twenty foods
You will not qualify if you...
- Severe intellectual disability with intellectual or adaptive functioning below 35
- Severe behavioral problems
- Medical conditions requiring more intensive intervention
