Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patient with recent onset peripheral facial palsy (12 months or less)
  • Peripheral facial palsy of grade III or higher on the House & Brackmann score
  • Patient aged 18 years or older
  • Patient who has received appropriate information and given informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patient with central facial palsy
  • Peripheral facial palsy onset more than 12 months ago
  • Peripheral facial palsy of grade less than III on the House & Brackmann score
  • Prior palliative surgery for facial palsy
  • Currently undergoing botulinum toxin injection protocol
  • Patients under enhanced protection (minors, legally restricted persons, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients in emergency situations)
  • Patients without informed consent
  • Patients with cognitive disorders preventing following the self-education protocol
  • Blind or visually impaired patients with visual acuity of 4/10 or less in the better eye after correction
