Study of Blood Pressure Management and Heart Health in Patients With B-Cell Cancers Receiving Bruton Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Treatment

This research aims to evaluate the occurrence and management of new or worsening high blood pressure in patients with B-cell cancers who are being treated with Bruton Tyrosine Kinase inhibitors BTKi. The study focuses on understanding how often high blood pressure develops or worsens during BTKi treatment and how it relates to cardiovascular risks in this patient group. This is an observational study where patients attend hypertension clinic visits and may undergo optional blood pressure monitoring, electrocardiograms, impedance cardiography testing, and blood and urine sample collection. Medical records are reviewed throughout the study to track changes and gather data. The study seeks to identify hemodynamic changes related to high blood pressure and determine the best anti-hypertensive treatment strategies. Participants will be monitored for up to 12 months to measure the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events MACE and new or worsening hypertension. Researchers will assess blood pressure and heart function changes using various tests and questionnaires. The study evaluates the effectiveness of optimal blood pressure management in patients with B-cell malignancies on BTKi treatment during this period.
