What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), a common heart condition caused by factors like high blood pressure and heart muscle diseases. The study evaluates a new accelerated cardiac cine-MRI sequence with deep learning-based image reconstruction compared to the standard cine-MRI sequence. The goal is to see if the new method provides similar measurements of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), which is important for diagnosis and monitoring of LVH, while potentially improving patient comfort and reducing exam time. Participants will undergo cardiac MRI sessions where the accelerated cine-MRI sequence is added to the standard MRI protocol during the same visit. This new MRI technique uses deep learning to speed up image acquisition and reduce the need for repeated breath-holds, which can be difficult for some patients. The study compares measurements such as LVEF, heart chamber volumes, heart muscle mass, and thickness using both MRI sequences. During the study visit, participants will have cardiac MRI scans with both the conventional and accelerated sequences. Researchers will measure differences in LVEF, left ventricular volumes, global longitudinal strain, muscle mass, thickness, and acquisition time between the two methods. The study monitors how well the accelerated MRI sequence matches the standard one, aiming to improve imaging quality and patient experience. Participation includes consent, social security affiliation, and ability to undergo MRI without contraindications.
