Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Outpatients at the Departments of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation who received opioid prescriptions (oral, transdermal, sublingual, or buccal forms containing oxycodone, fentanyl, tapentadol, hydrocodone, or morphine) for chronic non-cancer pain during the study period (from IRB approval date to September 30, 2025)
- Adults aged 19 years and older but younger than 80 years
- Patients who voluntarily signed informed consent after full explanation and understanding of the study purpose
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with active cancer
- Patients diagnosed with sickle cell disease
- Patients with life-limiting illness eligible for hospice or palliative care as defined by relevant law
- Pregnant patients
- Patients prescribed opioid analgesics within the past month for postoperative pain management
- Patients prescribed opioid analgesics within the past month for newly developed pain
- Patients with communication difficulties
- Patients prescribed buprenorphine for opioid use disorder treatment
- Patients deemed inappropriate for participation by the investigator
