Evaluation of the Quality of Life Induced by the Cinnamon Anti-odor Dressing in Patients With Malodorous Wounds
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patient over 18 years old with a smelly wound causing discomfort rated above 4 out of 10
- Wound expected to take more than 14 days to heal based on clinical judgment
- Patient covered by a social security scheme (excluding AME)
- Patient (and curator if needed) informed and has signed consent to participate
You will not qualify if you...
- Currently using a secondary charcoal or cinnamon dressing
- Pressure ulcer stage 1 or 2
- Treated with metronidazole or antimicrobials for less than 3 days
- Unable to communicate feelings
- Anosmic (unable to smell)
- Allergy to cinnamon
- Persons deprived of liberty or under guardianship
- Unable to comply with medical follow-up due to geographic, social, psychological, or cognitive reasons
