Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Healthy volunteers with no Parkinson's disease diagnosis
  • Parkinson's disease patients treated with levodopa
  • Parkinson's disease patients treated with deep brain stimulation (DBS)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Known other neurological or medical disorders affecting pain (e.g., stroke, neuropathy, diabetes)
  • Known dementia (MoCA score less than 24)
  • Known untreated depression (Beck Depression Inventory score 15 or higher)
  • Unable to cooperate with study procedures
  • Treated with painkillers other than paracetamol and NSAIDs unless pain and treatment are stable as evaluated by a doctor
