What this Trial Is About

Researchers are studying patients with drug-resistant epilepsy to better understand the characteristics of epileptogenic foci using advanced multimodal imaging technologies. The goal is to identify important brain network nodes, such as central nodes, that may help improve diagnosis for this condition. This prospective observational cohort study recruits adults aged 18 to 65 years who meet specific clinical criteria for drug-resistant epilepsy. Participants undergo one-time collection of multimodal imaging data including PET, fMRI, and EEG, combined using hybrid fusion technology to explore brain network damage related to refractory epilepsy. The study collects general clinical information and baseline data to analyze the imaging features and brain network characteristics associated with different types of drug-resistant epilepsy. During the study, participants provide baseline clinical and imaging data. Researchers assess the imaging characteristics and brain activity patterns and measure quality of life using the QOLIE-31 questionnaire at baseline and after 4 weeks. The study aims to provide detailed insights into the brain network changes in drug-resistant epilepsy while monitoring participant safety and cooperation throughout the process.
