Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Previously participated in an Avalyn inhaled antifibrotic study for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) or progressive pulmonary fibrosis (PPF) with approval of the study physician
- Completed the final treatment visit on full dose of study drug (active or placebo) in the prior study
- Male and female participants of childbearing potential must agree to use highly effective contraception from first dose or consent signing during the study and for 90 days after last dose
- Agree not to donate eggs or sperm during the study and 90 days after last dose
You will not qualify if you...
- Did not previously participate in an Avalyn inhaled antifibrotic lead-in study or were permanently discontinued from it for any reason
- Experienced exacerbation of asthma or COPD requiring oral/systemic corticosteroids within 3 months before screening
- Experienced an acute exacerbation of IPF or PPF within 3 months before screening
- Participated in another clinical study with investigational drugs (other than Avalyn nebulized antifibrotic) within 30 days or 5 half-lives before screening
- History of allergic reaction to pirfenidone or study excipients
