The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of an education and coaching program for parents of children with newly diagnosed autism that is focused on modifiable lifestyle factors and environmental modifications. Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Child aged 3 to 7 years
  • Child diagnosed with autism confirmed by ADOS-2, CARS-2, or ADI-R evaluation within the last 18 months
  • Child has an Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) score between 50 and 120
  • Child and parents reside in the United States
  • Parent can read and speak English
  • Parents are willing to meet study requirements
  • Child has not yet started comprehensive diet, lifestyle, or environmental autism interventions
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Parents unwilling or unable to make significant lifestyle changes, such as diet
  • Parents unwilling or unable to participate in study activities like coaching
  • Parents holding beliefs conflicting with education and lifestyle interventions
  • Child requiring significant specialty medical care or frequent inpatient treatment
  • Child currently taking mood-stabilizing drugs or having cancer or precancerous conditions
  • Child diagnosed with complex conditions besides autism, such as metabolic or chromosomal disorders
  • Parents unable or unwilling to provide consent
