Focal Radiotherapy for Previously Treated Prostate Cancer Patients
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Men more than 4 years from external beam radiotherapy (EBRT) with biochemical failure or more than 5 years if androgen deprivation therapy was also used
- Recurrence localized to less than one lobe of the prostate on PSMA and MRI scans (stage cT2a or less)
- Biopsy-proven recurrence with positive biopsies limited to suspicious PET and MRI regions
- Life expectancy of at least 10 years from time of SBRT
- Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level less than 10
You will not qualify if you...
- Recurrence very close to the rectum unless hydrogel can be used
- Grade 3 or higher toxicity from previous external beam radiotherapy
- Contraindication to fiducial marker insertion
- Previously had Gleason score 8, 9, or 10 disease (considered relative exclusion if long disease-free interval)
