Functional digestive disorders include symptoms such as functional dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, functional constipation, diarrhea, bloating, opioid-induced constipation, and fecal incontinence without an organic cause. These common conditions affect about 20% of the general population and often lead to gastroenterology consultations. The pathophysiology is complex and involves multiple factors like motility disturbances, altered sensitivity, sphincter dysfunction, inflammation, dysbiosis, and gut-brain axis impairment. The study aims to explore these mechanisms and their links to organic diseases like inflammatory bowel disease. This observational study collects prospective clinical data and biological samples, including digestive biopsies, blood, urine, and feces, gathered as part of standard care. The goal is to identify diagnostic or prognostic markers related to therapeutic responses in functional digestive disorders. Patients undergo comprehensive assessments aligned with evolving scientific knowledge to better understand the underlying pathophysiological abnormalities. Participants will have data collected over a 10-year period, including functional digestive explorations, radiological and endoscopic findings, gastric emptying studies, and various symptom assessments such as gastrointestinal symptoms, anxiety, depression, sleep, and eating behavior. The study also gathers demographic and clinical data along with drug use information. The long-term follow-up aims to improve therapeutic management by tailoring treatments based on observed abnormalities.
