Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients with type 1 diabetes of any age and any disease duration
- Clinically diagnosed with type 1 diabetes by a specialist physician
- Meet at least one of the following: age of onset under 15 years, no obesity at onset, diabetic ketoacidosis at onset, or maximum random C-peptide less than 200 pmol/L
- Meet at least one of the following: started and continued insulin therapy after diagnosis (excluding pancreas or islet transplantation) or positive for islet cell antibodies
You will not qualify if you...
History of severe allergic reactions to study medication Currently pregnant or breastfeeding Recent participation in another clinical trial within the last 30 days Presence of uncontrolled medical conditions that could affect safety
