Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Participants without history of kidney stones or family history of stone disease
  • Participants approved and planned for bariatric surgery at University of Chicago Medicine Bariatric Surgery Center
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patients with primary kidney diseases or impaired kidney function (eGFR less than 90)
  • Patients with known bladder voiding problems
  • Patients with vitamin D deficiency defined by levels below 25 ng/mL
