Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Pregnant women, either first-time or with previous births
- Full-term pregnancy
- Baby presenting head first (cephalic presentation)
- Planning a spontaneous vaginal delivery
- Use of oxytocin during delivery
- Use of analgesics during delivery
You will not qualify if you...
- Preterm labor or late preterm delivery
- Acute fetal distress during the pushing stage
- Breech delivery
- Shoulder dystocia
- Surgical delivery methods such as vacuum extraction, Kristeller maneuver, or cesarean section
- Episiotomy
