Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Youth self-identifies as African American, Black, or biracial including Black or African American
- Youth is between 10 and 13 years old
- Parent or primary caregiver is the main caregiver for the youth
- Parent or primary caregiver lives in the same household as the youth
You will not qualify if you...
- Youth has contraindications for MRI scanning, such as metal in the body, traumatic brain injury, claustrophobia, or pregnancy
- Youth has chronic illnesses or uses medications that affect inflammatory blood tests, including diabetes, congenital heart disease, asthma, or cancers
- Parent or youth has conditions like severe disability or psychoses that prevent participation in the intervention or completing questionnaires
