Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Pregnant and 33 weeks gestation or less
- Singleton pregnancy
- Pre-pregnancy BMI of 25.0 Kg/m2 or higher based on self-reported height and weight
- Able to provide informed consent
- Speaks English or Spanish
- Completed screening and baseline data collection
- Willing to participate in intervention and data collection, including home weighing
You will not qualify if you...
- Type 1 diabetes or taking insulin before delivery
- Pregnant with more than one fetus
- Unable to walk one block without pain or shortness of breath
- Not cleared by study clinicians or home visiting staff
- Planning to move away within the next year
- Active substance abuse disorder (except marijuana)
- Hospitalized for psychiatric or substance use issues in past year
- Active eating disorder
