Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients diagnosed with sepsis according to International Sepsis-3 criteria and unresponsive to septic shock treatment
- Sepsis caused by abdominal infection with controlled infection source
- Receiving noradrenaline dose greater than 0.5 µg/kg/min to maintain organ perfusion after fluid optimization
- Dysfunction of two or more organs with SOFA score of 9 or higher
- Blood lactate level of 2 mmol/L or higher
- Procalcitonin level greater than 10 ng/mL
- CRP level greater than 100 mg/L
- IL-6 level greater than 2000 pg/mL
You will not qualify if you...
- Age under 18 years or over 80 years
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Terminal illness or life expectancy less than 48 hours
- Platelet count below 60,000/mm3
- Pancytopenia
- Severe coagulopathy with high bleeding risk
- Participation in another research protocol
- Use of another hemoperfusion device
- Patients readmitted during the study period will only be included once
