Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Patients who need to complete lung function tests as assessed by outpatient physicians
- Patients willing to participate in the study and sign an informed consent form
You will not qualify if you...
- History of lung diseases other than COPD, previous lung surgery, or radiation therapy
- Inability to be evaluated by EIT or interference with EIT results, such as implanted pacemakers or cardioverters
- Inability to complete EIT, including those with implanted pacemakers or defibrillators
- Inability to complete lung function tests due to recent myocardial infarction or shock (within 3 months), severe heart failure or angina (within 4 weeks), uncontrolled hypertension (systolic >200 mmHg, diastolic >100 mmHg), or severe hyperthyroidism
- Vulnerable populations, including patients with mental illnesses, cognitive impairments, critically ill patients, illiterate individuals, and pregnant women
