Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients 18 years or older diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS)
  • Patients not candidates for primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patients younger than 18 years old
  • Patients with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) less than 60 ml/kg/m2
  • Patients with malignancies
  • Patients with chronic heart failure classified as NYHA class greater than II
  • Patients with chronic liver disease
  • Patients with nephrotic syndrome
  • Patients with acute cerebrovascular stroke
  • Pregnant women
  • Patients with recent infection
