Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients 60 years of age or older and scheduled for surgery.
- Access to a safe walking space roughly 30 feet in length, such as a long hallway at home, an apartment building hallway, or an outdoor public area.
- Able to walk independently with or without an assistive device like a cane or walker.
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to walk independently.
- Surgery scheduled less than 7 days after the appointment.
- Scheduled for orthopedic surgery.
- Scheduled for neurological surgery.
- Scheduled for cardiac surgery.
- Non-English speaking.
