Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Breastfeeding mother living or residing in Osijek with nipple skin damage (Nipple Trauma Score 1 to 5)
  • Newborn from a singleton pregnancy
  • Newborn gestational age between 37 and 42 weeks
  • Newborn birth weight between 2,500 and 4,500 grams
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Mothers who do not breastfeed
  • Mothers not living or residing in Osijek
  • Mothers without nipple skin damage
  • Mothers using other nipple healing preparations (shells, pads)
  • Newborns with visible anomalies affecting breastfeeding
  • Newborns admitted to the neonatal unit
