Background: In postmenopausal females, Insulin resistance is commonly encountered in clinical setting. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy have been proposed effective in lowering blood glucose level and improving function. Age: 55Years - 65Years
FEMALE

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Female participants clinically diagnosed with postmenopausal insulin resistance
  • Ages between 55 and 65 years old
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) between 30 and 34.9 kg/m²
  • Controlled blood glucose levels using oral hypoglycemic drugs
  • Cardiac ejection fraction greater than or equal to 50%
  • Normal chest X-ray results
  • Clinical evaluation by an ENT physician confirming suitability for hyperbaric chamber
  • Voluntary agreement to participate in the study
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Presence of cardiac pacemakers
  • History of epileptic fits
  • Physical disability
  • Any ulcer-causing disorder other than diabetes, such as chronic peripheral arterial disease
