Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patient 45 years old or older
- Scheduled for open colorectal, hepatobiliary, or vascular surgery
- Expected to have an arterial cannula inserted during surgery
- Anticipated to stay in the post-anesthetic recovery room for at least 2 hours
- Able to provide written informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Planned admission to the intensive care unit after surgery
- Refusal to participate in the study
- Previously enrolled in this study
