Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Members of health care or laboratory personnel in HUS who have decided to take the seasonal influenza vaccination through routine occupational health care
  • General good health as confirmed by the participant or investigator
  • Written informed consent provided
  • Presumed ability and willingness to participate during the starting influenza season
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Any confirmed or suspected immunosuppressive or immunodeficient conditions, including HIV infection
  • Use of immunosuppressants or immune-modifying drugs for longer than 14 days within 6 months before vaccination; oral corticosteroids at doses of 20 mg/day or more are excluded; inhaled or topical steroids are allowed
  • Pregnancy or lactation
  • Acute moderate or severe illness at enrollment, with or without fever
  • Contraindications to influenza vaccination
  • Any other condition judged by investigators to affect study participation, participant well-being, or study outcomes
