What this Trial Is About
In nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), tumor, node and metastasis (TNM) staging system is the main tool for determining treatment strategy and assessment of prognosis. However, the prognoses of patients with the same TNM stage after similar treatment vary widely. The aim of this study is to establish an immune score based radiomic staging system for NPC.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients with newly histologically confirmed non-keratinizing or keratinizing carcinoma
- ECOG Performance status of 0 to 1
- Normal liver function tests (ALT, AST 6 2.5 times the upper limit of normal)
- Renal function with creatinine clearance 6 60 ml/min
- No blood disorders with WBC > 4 x 10^9/L, hemoglobin > 90 g/L, and platelet count > 100 x 10^9/L
- Written informed consent provided
You will not qualify if you...
- Contraindications for MRI scan
- Previous malignancy except treated carcinoma in-situ of the cervix or basal/squamous cell carcinoma of the skin
- Prior chemotherapy or radiotherapy except for non-melanomatous skin cancers outside the intended radiotherapy area
- Pregnant or lactating patients
- Severe intercurrent diseases such as unstable cardiac disease, renal disease, chronic hepatitis, poorly controlled diabetes (fasting plasma glucose > 1.5 times upper limit of normal), or emotional disturbances that may affect study compliance
