Evaluating a Mobile App to Improve Information and Patient-Reported Outcomes for Adults with Severe Aortic Stenosis

This research aims to evaluate whether providing enhanced information through a mobile app can improve the subjective information level and patient-reported outcomes in people with severe aortic stenosis. The study focuses on patients scheduled for aortic valve replacement using transcatheter aortic valve implantation TAVI. Understanding if better information support helps patients make shared decisions is central to this trial. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. One group will receive full access to a mobile app designed to provide detailed information about their condition and treatment, while the other group will have restricted access to the app. The study compares how these different levels of access affect patients understanding and reported outcomes over time. Participants will be followed for three months after enrollment, during which their subjective information level will be measured using the EORTC QOL-INFO 25 questionnaire. Researchers will collect survey responses and monitor patient-reported outcome measures over this period to assess the impact of information access. The total duration of participation for each patient is about three months, focusing on the quality and level of information received.
