Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age from 20 to 60 years
- Both sexes
- American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status I-II
- Scheduled to undergo elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy under general anesthesia
You will not qualify if you...
- Refusal to participate in the study
- Diabetes (type I or II), endocrine system, or immune system diseases
- Chronic infection or sepsis
- Cardiac condition classified as New York Heart Association (NYHA) class III or higher
- Hepatic disease with INR > 1.5 and/or albumin < 2.5 g/dL
- Renal disease with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) < 85 ml/min
- Mental or neurological disorders
