- Adults aged 20 to 60 years with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism (controlled on treatment, not controlled, or newly diagnosed)
- Healthy adults with normal thyroid function and similar socio-economic status as patients
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients younger than 20 years old
- Patients with liver disease
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Patients with severe infections or sepsis
- Patients with heart disease
- Patients taking medications that affect liver function such as phenothiazine, phenylbutazone, or methyldopa
