Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Study group: completely edentulous and wearing dentures for at least one year, wearing dentures during meals, with clean and stable dentures
- Control group: dentate subjects with at least 25 teeth, no endodontic treatments, molars in Angle's Class I occlusion, no functional disturbance of mastication, not undergoing dental treatment at the time of recording
- Controls matched to study group by age, sex, tobacco use, and saliva flow rate
- Participants aged between 18 and 79 years
- Participants consenting to participate
You will not qualify if you...
- Age under 18 or over 80 years
- Not consenting to participate
- Suffering from dental, periodontal, or gum pain in the last month
