Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Home care aides must be English speaking and provide services to older adults with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias
  • Family or unpaid caregivers must be 18 years or older
  • Family or unpaid caregivers must be English speaking
  • Family or unpaid caregivers must hear well enough to communicate by telephone
  • Family or unpaid caregivers must identify themselves as the primary caregiver or unpaid friend/companion caregiver
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Home care aides who are non-English speaking
  • Home care aides who are certified nursing assistants, nursing assistants, home health aides, or medication technicians
  • Family or unpaid caregivers younger than 18 years old
  • Family or unpaid caregivers who do not speak English
  • Family or unpaid caregivers who do not hear well enough to communicate by telephone
  • Family or unpaid caregivers who have two or more incorrect answers or cannot respond to a validated 6-item telephone screening test
  • Family or unpaid caregivers who are not identified as the person's primary caregiver or are paid for services
