This research aims to investigate how often post-induction hypotension (PIH) occurs and what risk factors contribute to it in elderly cancer patients undergoing surgery with general anesthesia. PIH is defined as a drop in mean arterial pressure by 30% or more from baseline or below 65 mmHg within the first 20 minutes after anesthesia induction, before surgical stimulation. The study seeks to understand how factors like age, cancer type, previous treatments, comorbidities, medications, and preoperative blood flow indices relate to PIH in this vulnerable group. Participants will be monitored using standard non-invasive methods including ECG, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. Perfusion index and pleth variability index will be measured before anesthesia using specialized equipment. Anesthesia induction involves drugs such as propofol, fentanyl, lidocaine, and rocuronium, followed by maintenance with sevoflurane or desflurane and remifentanil. Blood pressure will be recorded at six specific time points from before induction to 15 minutes after intubation to capture changes related to PIH. During the study, participants' demographic data, cancer details, medical history, and laboratory results will be collected. Researchers will classify patients based on the presence or absence of PIH using blood pressure measurements taken every 2 minutes in the first 20 minutes after induction. The study's main measurement is the incidence of PIH within this time frame. Data analysis will explore relationships between PIH and various clinical factors to improve anesthesia care for elderly cancer patients. The study will conclude after the 15-minute post-intubation measurement period.

Participants undergo preoperative assessments including demographic data, comorbidities, medications, oncologic history, and laboratory tests before surgery.

Participants are monitored with standard non-invasive methods during anesthesia induction and the first 20 minutes after induction to assess blood pressure changes and identify post-induction hypotension.
