The goal of this observational study is to learn about the recurrence and development of epilepsy in children hospitalized with their first febrile seizures. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Children diagnosed with first febrile seizure based on ILAE 1993 definition
- Seizure occurring after 1 month of age with fever of at least 38°C not caused by central nervous system infection
- Patients aged between 1 month and 8 years
- Written informed consent provided by parents
You will not qualify if you...
- Febrile paroxysmal events that are atypical for seizures
- Underlying neurological conditions increasing epilepsy risk
- Unwillingness to attend follow-up visits
