Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Children diagnosed with first febrile seizure based on ILAE 1993 definition
  • Seizure occurring after 1 month of age with fever of at least 38°C not caused by central nervous system infection
  • Patients aged between 1 month and 8 years
  • Written informed consent provided by parents
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Febrile paroxysmal events that are atypical for seizures
  • Underlying neurological conditions increasing epilepsy risk
  • Unwillingness to attend follow-up visits
