Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Newly diagnosed, untreated, non-distant metastatic, non-keratinizing nasopharyngeal carcinoma
- Nodes diagnosed with PET/CT and MRI
- Staged as T1-4N0-2 or N3 with non-bilateral lower-neck node metastasis
- Aged between 18 and 70 years
- Karnofsky performance-status score greater than 70
- Adequate blood function: leucocyte count over 4 x 10^9/L, hemoglobin over 90 g/L, thrombocyte count over 100 x 10^9/L
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous chemotherapy, surgery (except diagnostic), or radiotherapy to the neck or nasopharyngeal regions
- Previous malignancy
- Lactation or pregnancy
- Severe coexisting illness
