Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- At least two months have passed since the stroke
- Mini-Mental State Examination score of 24 or higher
- Age between 45 and 75 years
- Brunnstrom stage of 4 or above
You will not qualify if you...
- Severe osteoarthritis in the lower extremity
- Cancer or diabetic neuropathy
- Vestibular disorder
- Lower extremity ulceration or amputation
- Hemodynamic instability
- Other neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease
- Acute lower extremity injury within the last six weeks
- History of lower extremity surgery
- Lack of required ankle range of motion for proprioception testing
