Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients aged 60; 18 years old
- Patients with clinical indication for stent implantation
- Patients with OCT evaluation showing superficial calcified tissue under the lumen surface (distance less than 500 bcm)
- Patients with good quality baseline OCT evaluation
- Patients who have given prior written informed consent after being briefed on the study
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with current ST-elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI)
- Patients with non-native lesions such as stent restenosis, previous drug eluting balloon treatment, or grafts
- Patients with contraindications for 1-month follow-up angiography and OCT, including GFR < 30 ml/min/1.72m2, contrast allergy, or baseline post-stent OCT failure
- Patients not candidates for follow-up angiography due to frailty, non-cardiac disease, or other conditions considered by the local team
