Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- ALS diagnosed by a neurologist
- Chronic respiratory insufficiency or significant respiratory muscle weakness caused by ALS
You will not qualify if you...
- Impaired cognition preventing informed consent
- Contraindication to noninvasive ventilation therapy
- Another severe disease with prognosis less than one year
- Ventilation via an artificial airway or tracheostomy
