What this Trial Is About
This research aims to study how inspiratory and expiratory muscle training affects respiratory muscle strength, lung function, and performance in adolescent volleyball players. While previous studies in sports like football, cycling, swimming, and rugby have shown that respiratory muscle training can reduce how hard athletes feel they are working, the effects specifically in adolescent athletes are not yet clear. This study is designed to explore these effects in young athletes aged 12 to 18 years. Participants will undergo inspiratory muscle training and expiratory muscle training using specialized devices. These training methods focus on strengthening the muscles used for breathing in and out. The study will observe how these training interventions influence respiratory muscle strength and overall lung function in adolescent volleyball players who train regularly. During the study, researchers will measure respiratory muscle strength on the first day to assess the impact of the training. Participants will be monitored for their lung function and performance status throughout the study. The study focuses on female athletes between 12 and 18 years old who train at a submaximal level at least three days a week. Safety and adherence will be considered as part of the ongoing evaluation.
