Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Liver cirrhosis diagnosed by clinical assessment and radiology or biopsy with fibrosis grade 4 (ICD-code K70.3, K74.6)
  • MELD score less than 25
  • Ability to understand the Swedish language
  • Signed informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Performance status of 3 or higher
  • Severe pain that prevents physical activity as judged by the attending physician at discharge
  • Previous liver transplant
  • Unlikely to comply with follow-up due to living far away as judged by the attending physician at discharge
