Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients with recent, uninfected, minimally displaced or unfavorable mandibular fractures
- Adults aged 18 to 50 years with no gender restriction
- Fractures requiring open reduction and internal fixation
- Patients classified as ASA-1 and willing to attend follow-up visits for immediate, 3 months, and 6 months postoperatively
You will not qualify if you...
- Comminuted or infected mandibular fractures
- Pediatric patients below 4 years old and geriatric patients with completely toothless mouth
- Patients with osteoporosis
- Medically compromised patients including poorly controlled diabetes or hypertension, COPD, morbid obesity (BMI 60), recent heart attack (<3 months), ongoing cardiac ischemia or severe valve problems, severe reduction of ejection fraction, shock, sepsis, regular dialysis, or history >3 months
- Fractures in completely toothless patients
