Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participants aged 45 and above
- Participants with knee pain lasting 3 months or more plus at least three of these: age 50 or more, crepitations, enlarged bone, no warmth in the joint, morning stiffness under 30 minutes, bony tenderness
- Patients able to walk with a minimum pain score of 4 on the Numeric Pain Rating Scale
- Participants with a Mini Mental State examination score of 24 or higher
- Participants able to walk independently at least 45 meters in 6 minutes
- Participants with a recent knee X-ray done within the past 3 months
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with hip or knee replacement surgery
- Participants with above or below knee surgery or radiating pain in the lower limb
- Patients with epilepsy or who are pregnant
- Diagnosed neurological conditions affecting lower-limb strength or walking (e.g., stroke, basal ganglia dysfunction, trauma)
- Patients who refuse to participate or randomization
- Patients receiving steroids or medications not prescribed by the screening orthopedic surgeon
