Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Painful click at temporomandibular joint (TMJ) area
- Pain at the lateral pterygoid muscle
- Presence of full or nearly full complement of natural teeth with acceptable occlusion
You will not qualify if you...
- Radiographic evidence of degenerative conditions of TMJ
- Current dental or physical therapy affecting TMD
- History of recent trauma
- Presence of systemic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis
- Pregnant or lactating females
- Presence of open bite
