Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of neovascular glaucoma
- Eye pressure over 21 mmHg and scheduled for trabeculectomy surgery
- At least 18 years old
- Visual ability of at least hand motion
- Presence of new blood vessels on the iris or eye angle
- Willing and able to give informed consent
- Able to understand the study and attend all follow-up visits
You will not qualify if you...
- Having only one eye
- Severe corneal swelling or total blood in the eye blocking the view of new vessels
- Unable to measure endothelial cell count
- Allergy to bevacizumab or fluorescence dye
- Active eye infection including endophthalmitis or corneal ulcer
- History of serious systemic diseases like heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, liver failure, or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
