Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Provide signed and dated informed consent form
  • Male
  • Age between 50 and 70 years (VPAC) or up to 75 years (STEAP1)
  • Willing to comply with all study procedures
  • Known diagnosis of untreated prostate cancer scheduled for robotic prostatectomy (Cohort 1)
  • PSA \u2264 1.5 ng/ml within the last year and no prostate cancer or BPH history (Cohort 2)
  • Diagnosis of benign prostatic hyperplasia, bladder outlet obstruction, or lower urinary tract symptoms with PSA \u2264 1.5 ng/ml within the last year (Cohort 3)
  • Negative prostate biopsy within the last year with at least two PSA values \u2265 2.5 ng/mL, most recent within last year (Cohort 4)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Under 50 or over 70 years old (VPAC) or over 75 years old (STEAP1)
  • Any cancer along the genitourinary tract (excluding penile or testicular cancers)
  • Taking finasteride or dutasteride
  • Presence of gross hematuria suspicious for bladder cancer
