Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Hospitalized patients with confirmed Community-Acquired Pneumonia (CAP)
- Presence of at least one immunosuppression risk factor including:
- AIDS
- Aplastic anemia
- Asplenia
- Hematologic malignancy (lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma)
- Chemotherapy within the last 3 months
- Neutropenia (white blood cell count less than 500/dL)
- Use of biologics or therapy for autoimmune diseases prescribed within the last 6 months
- Solid organ transplant
- Bone marrow transplant
- Chronic oral steroid use (>10 mg/day prednisone or equivalent for 3 months or more)
- Corticosteroid therapy ≥20 mg prednisone or equivalent for 14 days or more
- Active malignancy
- Malignancy within one year of pneumonia (except localized skin or early-stage malignancy)
- Lung or other solid malignancy with neutropenia or chemotherapy
- Other immunodeficiency including genetic or therapy-related
- Primary immunodeficiency

History of severe allergic reactions to study medication Currently pregnant or breastfeeding Recent participation in another clinical trial within the last 30 days Presence of uncontrolled medical conditions that could affect safety
